Custom Fabrication Experience
Kevin started his interest in mechanics when he joined the U.S. Army in 1981 as a UH-1H Helicopter mechanic. He ended his tour in 1986 as a Sargeant/E-5 with a Honorable Discharge.
Finding a job with Lockheed Support Systems, he worked as a Helicopter Technician on Bell UH-1H and Sikorsky UH-60As, finally working up to Phase Maintenance Team Leader after three years.
He then decided to enter the racer fabrication business where he worked for Racing Beat, a custom Mazda RX-7 parts manufacture. While working there as an apprentice he helped in the building and crewing a record breaking land speed car for the Bonneville Salt Flats.
Continuing as a sheet metal fabricator for Curt LeDuc at California Pre-Run, he then begain helping with prepping and fabricating on numerous Off Road Trucks that won races and championships.
Landing a job with Mirage Race Products he continued as an Off Road Truck and Buggy Technician and Fabricator. Helping win races and championships in SCORE and Best in the Desert.
Moving to work at Dunlap Race Prep where he helped work on vehicles for Off Road legends Frank “Scoop” Vessels and Carl Renezender.
Deciding to open his own shop in SoCal, Jensen Racing continued to prepare buggies and trucks for numerous Off- Road series. Finally building a Stock Mini Ridgeline truck from scratch for Honda’s HPD. This truck went on to win races and two championships and the first four wheel victory of the Baja 1000 for Honda.
After closing his shop, he worked for The Litzenbuger Company making custom aluminum and stainless steel parts for General Atomics Predator aircraft.
Hired by the Fighter Rebuilders company in Chino, Ca. he was involved in making replacement parts and installing components on a vintage Lockheed C-121 Constellation.
Finally moving to Flagstaff, AZ he looks to continue making and assembling custom car, trucks and buggies in his new shop.
